    GREEN CHECK MARK!

Just after noon I received my email from Vault Health providing me my NEGATIVE Covid test result. The result is a .pdf file to use for uploading to Aruba. Later, I will upload an image with my info redacted so you will see what the report looks like.

My experience with the Vault Health covid test was 100% positive. From my Zoom meeting from home to provide the saliva sample at 8:15 a.m. Thursday to a result at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. That's 52 hours and includes UPS shipping time from western MA to Piscataway, NJ. I had the UPS tracking number, so I was able to follow its journey, but I received an email right away from Vault Health when they received it, and then the email just now with the result.

Next step was to upload the result for the Aruba ED card. It was easy and effortless. The ED card process is very user friendly. After uploading the result, you move on to the page where you pay for the required Aruba insurance (now a $30 flat fee as opposed to the payment scale when the borders first opened). As soon as you submit the payment, voila! The green check mark page!

The Covid test result and the ED card's green check mark have been printed (and accessible on my phone as well). I am so relieved to have this all set before I even leave my house to head to the airport in CT this afternoon. My flight is at 6:00 tomorrow morning with a layover in Miami. 2:11 p.m. arrival Aruba time!

One more obstacle today is going to be getting to Connecticut. We're getting a storm that's supposed to give us a few inches of heavy, wet snow. I will take my time. It's deja vu for my December trips to Aruba. I think it was two years ago that I had a "white knuckle" drive to the airport as well.

Perhaps I will update later from the hotel in CT. Otherwise, the next time you hear from me will be from the happy island we all love!

Here's what the Vault (jetBlue) test result looks like. Again, I am flying American, so my green check mark just confirms for anyone who may have been skeptical about whether those flying other airlines can use it.

Thanks for sharing Rich. I was concerned if they timed the test and you had to be exactly 72 hours before flight. Meaning if I were to leave Saturday at 9am If I would have to test Wed no earlier than 9am but apparently only the date reflects.

I had seen elsewhere that Aruba was only concerned with the day, not the precise 72 hour mark. Knowing that, I did mine first thing in the morning and got it to UPS before 9 a.m. -- just to ensure timely delivery back to the lab.
