I actually finally got up and walked this morning. It was beautiful. I went down to the Embassy Suites and back. I did comment about the resort in a different thread. I came back and watched Odyssey of the Seas come in. It is a huge ship-it looks like a moving apartment building.

Hung out in the condo on my computer until lunch. We went to Local Store. Stu had the Local Store Burger and I had the Black and Blue Burger and we both had fungi fries. Stu's burger was fine, but I was disappointed in mine. They had very little blue cheese and threw a slice of something else on it. I don't know if they weren't paying attention or out of blue cheese. We brought back some of the fungi fries as we were both stuffed.

Later in the afternoon we did some errands related to the kitchen. I will start a new post related to all of that as it was suggested to me that anything non vacation should be in a separate posting. We came back here after 5 pm and just did leftovers for dinner. Watched the sunset. Stu works tonight and I will be working on labeling pictures tonight.

it is too bad that Local Store was disappointing.
when we were there in December the funchi fries were "gummy" and my chicken tenders were not.
we'll give them another chance next time.
always a great spot for cold beer and good burgers and wings......I hope in your instance and ours just "off nights"

It is a bummer that the Local Store wasn't up to par - so disappointing when you look forward to going out for meals. I'm glad when I went there twice in October they were on their game and I enjoyed my dinner and breakfast visits - I love the vibe there too.

This morning I had an appointment at Citro for root color at 9:00. I was pleased with the color and the price was fair. Since I had not eaten breakfast before I left the condo, I stopped in the little Italian place on my way home picked up a huge brownie. I ate half and left the rest for Stu. I seriously could eat everything in that place. Stu was going to go with me to look for tile and lights, but needed to work instead. Hunger got the best of me and I came back to the condo around 2 to have lunch. Emailed and texted for while, made dinner and spent some time at a friend's condo.

This morning, we get an email from our son saying he put in his two weeks at his job. I ask why and he gives me an explanation and tells me he is going to work per diem. I ask if he will be able to pick up enough shifts. He then tells me he was going to go full time doing 911 calls-the job he always wanted. I told him he should have opened with that statement. It's a big pay increase-over 30%, less miles, but about the same travel time and he doesn't have to pay tolls. I am so happy for him.

Robin, Stu sure work a lot! What does he do working remote? Congrats to your son.

I have a friend who is a Nurse. She sold her house in Orlando Florida and has been working taking on contract assignments. She worked 1 year in NY, then Colorado, Arizona and now California. A good what to visit and live in other States I guess.

We were very pleased with https://eurokitchendesign.com/ - you might want to check them out. The best/most prompt service we ever had in Aruba. They also supply appliances. Ask for Roger, he is the owner/manager? there.

This morning I spent some time getting caught up on emails and then we had a meeting related to our condo. See my posts about the condo. Went for a walk around the property for a short time before lunch. After lunch and some laundry, we headed to the pool in phase 2 and spent some time with friends. The second time the showers came in, we decided to call a day around 3:45. However, we did see an interesting site. A man, dressed in a banana costume walking around the pool. I asked him if he lost a bet and he said he wears it to Happy Hour and orders Banana Daiquiris.

We had dinner reservations at Lima Bistro for 6:30. We decided to leave early because we saw a coupon for BOGO drinks in the lounge in Harbor House, however; it was pouring then it poured harder as we sat in lobby of our building. Once it slowed-about 15-20 minutes later, we headed downtown. We did not have time to go upstairs for a drink, so we headed to dinner early.

Lima Bistro-OMG good! One of the best meals on the island IMO. We shared a Beef Anticucho. The beef on the skewers was so tasty and tender. Stu ordered the special which was a skirt steak, that was cooked perfectly medium rare that is how they cooked i and was tender. It came with some type of tempura side, but he asked for something else and opted for broccoli. I ordered the duck breast. It was probably the best one I ever had. We had the chocolate mousse with fruit. https://www.limabistro.com/

We decided to go up to the lounge for a drink. I headed to the ladies room and came back to sit at the bar with Stu and he tells me there are new people running the bar and won't take the coupon. It really didn't matter and we had our drinks. Stu point out to me that the business cards say "Steakouts Homeplate." Steakouts Homeplate is a bar/restaurant in our area at home. They have two locations-one only about 10 minutes and the other about 20-25 minutes from us. It even had the same logo. Needless to say, we thought it was odd. I wanted to check out the logo and googled the places near us at home. The bartender overhears us and comes over. He tells us that the new owner is from South Jersey and had two places there and says the manager, who was sitting at the end of the bar is from there, too. She comes over and we start talking. The owner of the places by us, bought a condo at Harbor House and now is running the bar and hopes to add food. The manager is also part owner. We chatted for about 45 minutes. It was a really surprising evening.

Woke up to cloudy skies again. It's rained a lot the past few days. Did our normal stuff and headed to the pool around 10:30. By 11:30 it had poured twice for about 10 minutes each time. Each time it got very windy and cold. Friends of ours on the beach came back and took the palapa by us so they had shelter when it rained. Due to the rain, friends who are renting a house opted to come over tomorrow rather than today. Of course it cleared in the afternoon.

I headed up around 12:30 for lunch and came back down after grabbing a quick lunch. Stu was sleeping when I left and was sleeping when I returned. I spoke with a new arrival for awhile as we watched them start to build the other two tower cranes across the street. I did upload a picture taken after sunset. Came up around 4:00. Relaxed for a while before trying a new recipe for dinner. I think we will go for dinner for pizza tomorrow. I miss being able to stop in and just grabbing a slice like I do at home.
