We left Aruba two hours late. Storms in Philly prevented the incoming flight from taking off on time-they sat on the tarmac for 2 hours from what I understand. The almost full flight was uneventful and we landed in very(pouring) rainy Philly early, but had to wait for gate which was the furthest from baggage claim as you can get-a good 10-15 minute walk. We waited for the luggage, at one carrousel as did the whole plane, and waited. Then someone realized they the carrousel without making an announcement. A lot of luggage had already been pulled off and the rest was piling up. Typical Philly. SMH. Got our wet bags and called our son who was waiting in the cell phone lot. By now it was a hour after the plane landed. Stu drove home and we were here just after 10 pm-almost 12 hours after leaving the condo. It was nice to see kids!
Now, it is time for me to see what food we have and go shopping. I get my second shot tomorrow. I have a long list of things to do and appoints over the next two weeks, because on the 23rd we head out for a 5 weekish road trip in the 63 Lincoln.
Thank-you to everyone who kept up with my boring daily posts and for posting back. You are all the best.
That was a long travel day..... hope you get some time to relax...!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!
Wow
exhausting
a few years ago our luggage got soaked sitting on the tractor thing in the rain on our departure from Aruba
we sat on the plane looking at it.
upon arrival in Orlando they announced that everyone whose luggage was soaked to contact customer service in the terminal.
we did and each got a $200 voucher.
now, we always cover our stuff with plastic trash bags when packing.
you have a busy time ahead. Have fun!!
