Susie's Trip Report - 9-13 through 9-23

Glad you made it home safely, Susie. Thanks again for taking us along on your vacation!!

Sorry for the delay on update of our return - been darn busy getting caught up with stuff at home and work.

Thursday morning (9/23) we returned the rental SUV, then started our return at the airport - it was amazingly easy - we dropped our bags off at AA and had our return test info reviewed - no issues and then moved on to Aruba security then to US customs - the whole process took us about 45 minutes which is not bad at all. We were about 4 hours early but no crowds with folks returning - only a few and the lines were moving pretty quickly. We were able to grab some items at the shops too before we got to our gate. We stopped and got a few snacks and drinks and then waited. Flight was on time leaving Aruba, got to Miami and then it went downhill - it was raining in Miami so we boarded on time however we had to wait on the tarmac as there was lightning and we waited almost an hour. Got to Columbus about half hour late - made up the time in flight somehow which was ok by me. Got our luggage and then off to the Marriott for the evening. Traveled back to Cinti Friday morning. It was a great trip and again, so glad we decided to go and enjoy ourselves and be safe at it.

Don'tcha hate travel days....? So glad you got thru it and home safely. Ummmmm...... guess your trip report (wonderful trip report) is just about done.... gonna miss it!

Added a few pics from my shopping at the Purely Aruban Artwork at the La Cabana Beach Resort - the window box from Carmen - love it! Purchased 3 pieces from Maida Martinez for family members. If you get a chance stop in the store, amazing handmade items, lots of variety.
