Ahhh to be young and carefree. Mimosas are wonderful but boy I cannot handle more than 2.

as I type you are probably snoozing on your flight.

again, thanks for the good read.

Thursday morning Jon saw some dive boats going out and decided he wanted to try to book a dive for Friday so he had an 8am pick up from Jads to head to the south for diving. I spent some time on the beach and went for a walk around Palm Beach poking in and out of the shops on the beach side then across the street. I decided I wanted mimosas so I bought the goods and had wayyyyyy too many. I hung out on the beach and then headed back to the room with lunch and to meet up with Jon and make my next batch of mimosas with a tropical blend juice. I was feeling pretty good and Jon found it to be pretty funny.
We ended up spending the afternoon in the lazy river then the pool bar. I met a forum reader who introduced himself, turns out we had already met in Aruba immigration and he lives rather close to us. The rest of the day was a blur, that went by way too fast with way to many drinks, and a scary tab at the pool bar. We ended up getting another rotisserie chicken for dinner in the room. I was in no shape to go anywhere and the chicken and salad are really good.
Ended up being a great day.

    Departure Day

As far as departure days go, this one hasn't been bad. We were able to get a later check out for noon which was perfect. I have been doing laundry the last couple days before bed so we are going home with mostly clean clothes and packing was a breeze and I was taking things from the dryer to the suitcase. We hit the lazy river for a couple rounds and hung out at the pool till the last possible minute. We showered and changed and checked our bags with the bellman and went back to Malmok Grill for more tuna poke bowls and the view of the beach. With a little more time to kill we almost broke even at the Marriott casino which is the closest we came to having a good day there.
We had a delightful taxi driver who is convinced Jon is her long lost relative because of a distinctive patch of grey hair he has. I asked if that meant we could just move in, but it didnt work out and we had to go in the airport.

There were some lines but all were moving steadily. I think we were through everything in less than an hour. The airport is crowded and warm so we decided to pay for lounge access and while pricey at $42 each, with 2 hours to kill we are now comfortable and cool. We are currently trying to rehydrate.

I didnt make my mimosas with orange, I use a tropical blend or cranberry, and honestly it's just a splash of color..lol.

We have a 5:15 flight. I expected the airport to be worse because there are 4 or 5 us departures around our same time. Lines moved, waiting areas were too much for my dislike of crowds.

    Favorites and Not So favorites

    Best experience:
Jon - Seabob snorkeling (yes, even better than his dive)
Tracey - balcony evenings at Playa Linda

    Favorite restaurant
Jon - Oak, not even close to any other
    Tracey - Atardi

    Favorite lunch
Both - tuna poke at Malmok Grill (Ocean Club)

    Biggest disappointment
Jon - Surf Club view of the parking lot
Tracey - not enough time snorkeling on our own, and too many waves to snorkel at De Palm

    Best Discovery (new to us)
Jon - the 2 bedroom layout at the Surf Club
    Tracey - Hyatt brunch

Overall, the jury is still out on the jeep. We used it in the mornings, but a car would have been fine.
I think future trips will be a series of compromises for both where we stay and transportation.
