    Tasty Tuesday

We paid to reserve a palapa for today so we slept in a little. Jon made a delicious breakfast with the riibeye from Superfood. I did a little laundry, I love having a washer and dryer in our unit. Its funny the things that excite me these days..lol.

After dealing with our jeep issues, we were ready for relaxation. We spent the day in the beach and lots of time in the water. The water is cool to get in at first but we were quick to get acclimated.

For lunch we walked to Kouzina for chicken gyros. Once we were seated and waiting we realized it was a taco Tuesday pop up at Scott's Brats but we were already anticipating enjoying our gyros.

It was back to the beach for more relaxation and a dip in the adult pool. Around 3 we did a few laps around the lazy river then up to the room for a nap.

Dinner was Atardi at the Marriott Stellaris on the beach. If you are staying in Palm Beach without a car, I highly recommend Atardi for a walkable romantic sunset meal. We had a few drinks at the bar before our reservation. I tried the dushi martini and it was just okay, but then I tried Peg's espresso martini and ther was no turning back. At both the bar and restaurant, service was impeccable! We had tuna carpaccio for an appetizer, then macadamia crusted grouper that was perfectly prepared. We couldn't finish dinner and certainly couldn't have dessert. We did get a complimentary glass of champagne since I had indicated it was our anniversary on the reservation. I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.

From there we hit the Marriott casino and promptly gave back some of our early casino winnings.

Now we are resting up for DePalm island tomorrow. We have reserved a cabana to celebrate our actual anniversary. I think jon is going to do the snuba add on, bit we'll see.

Happy Anniversary! Have a great time at Depalm and let us know how Jon enjoys the snuba. I think I'd like to give it a try sometime. We are hoping the ODB pop up taco Tuesdays are still going when we get there. How crowded is Surf Club? Although large in area we don't get the "mega resort" feel when we are there. Maybe it's because we're just so used to the place, but the crowds aren't bad in April/May and there aren't many kids. I'm loving the photo album, it's nice to see larger pictures instead of thumbnails (especially if you're an old guy like me).

Unfortunately Jon can't Snuba. When he filled out the waiver he answered honestly that he takes blood pressure medication and DePalm has a policy that does not allow it. He tried to show them his dive card but they said no. Guess next time we know what not to put on the form. oh well.

The Surf Club is not overly crowded right now, which is good. There are just so many chairs...lol. the river gets a little jammed in the afternoon, but morning and evening are fine.

It's pretty rough here today but the crashing waves are relaxing.
