We noticed all the water too when we were there in October. I can only imagine how much more is there now since it has been raining so much!

Loving you trip report and pictures. When I arrive next week, I am renting unit #409, so it was good to see you pics of what the view will look like. I'll be jealous of your balcony, though! 409 is a studio.
Are Bud Lights in short supply? I see you had trouble finding them a couple of times. I recall encountering the same thing a few years ago.

I really don't have anything to report. We had beautiful weather for a beach day. No troubles getting 2nd row shade around 8am. Palm Beach feels a little like Eagle right now. It's not busy, not very many people out walking, its just quiet. We started the day with mimosas and a nice selection of fresh fruit from our gift basket. We stayed on the beach and in the water all day. Blue skies and all the colors you expect to see in the Caribbean surrounded us. We stayed on the beach for lunch and had coconut shrimp and chicken wings (I know, shocking). We washed them down with strawberry daiquiris. Later we went up to the room to get cleaned up with every intention of going to Taco Tuesday at Lola Tequeria. This did not happen. After getting cleaned up and hoping for a good sunset, we were stuck to our balcony. I made a little charcuterie tray and we enjoyed music and conversation. The sunsets haven't been anything picture worthy, lots of clouds on the horizon. We finished the night playing rummy. The theme of this trip for us is rest and relaxation. Jon wants another beach day, I am hoping to convince to go into town but we will see how that goes.

Aruba is kind of the rest and relaxation trip for many of us.
Which lots of us needed.
Happy Anniversary!! Your trip sounds absolutely perfect. Thank you for sharing. I *really* appreciate it as I canceled (should be down there right now but Minnesota is Covid central and my cat was just diagnosed with diabetes so I don't want to leave him). So I am living vicariously through your great trip reports.
I cannot believe a week has come and gone. This trip is truly flying by. I feel like Jon doesn't realize it. Prying my dear husband away from Playa Linda has been pretty much impossible this week, not that I'm complaining we are enjoying every minute.
We slept in until after 9. This never happens, ever, anywhere. Jon didn't sleep well through the night but this morning he was having no trouble. The people above us must be practicing for the world championship of furniture moving, because they were shuffling stuff around as late as 2am. I barely noticed but Jon is a very light sleeper. When we finally got up and started moving around Jon said he needed real food and not bar snacks or appetizers today but he didn't want breakfast food. He relaxed a little more and I went for a walk. We decided on Pikas Corner for lunch and enjoyed it. They have some outside tables. It was early so not too busy. They had lots of specials including grilled octopus, which I am kicking myself for not trying. We shared steak and chicken skewers and have enough for another full meal leftover. It was good, reasonably priced, but not a must have for every trip. We drove around a little just enjoying the sites. There is a lot of construction happening on the north end of Eagle Beach around the condos. We came back to the pool for a while and really just lounged around. In the afternoon we decided to get a couple tacos from Lola Taqueria. Wow, street tacos are a favorite of ours and these were excellent. We tried pork belly and carnitas, both were delicious. Lola has paired with Craft and their cocktails were out of this world too. We weren't very hungry and this was just the right size meal for us. There is some construction blocking the sidewalk near the I love Aruba store but the hotel side is fine for walking. From there we stopped in the Hilton Casino, temp checks, hand sanitizer, and you're in. We got up and little then broke even and left. It was kind of hot in there, especially with masks. For table games so far I think the Hyatt is the safest. We thought about stopping at Bugaloe but with no bar seating we skipped it. We didn't want to take up a table to just have 1 or 2 drinks. The sunset looked like it would be a good one so we headed back to the balcony to enjoy it. It was the best yet, but still a few clouds on the horizon. I added pictures. The beach bar at Playa Linda was pretty full so we opted for the balcony. We went in and watched a little football and called it a night. The upstairs neighbors and their furniture moving practice was on again but it stopped around 10 which was much better than the previous night.
Today is looking like a beach/pool day for us. I'm so glad we packed an entire bag of stuff to go snorkeling (insert eye roll here). Jon said this morning he feels like after doing the Seabob tour last year he feels like we would be disappointed snorkeling on our own. That is an indication of how good that tour was, it really was great. Plus I'm sure it also that he doesn't feel like schlepping around all the gear around to snorkel for an hour or less and be done. That said, I wouldn't travel without the stuff, I like having the option if we want to use it.
