Another great day in Aruba yesterday. We spent the day going in between the beach and the pool depending on our mood. Last night we went out to Nos Clubhuis to celebrate some of our friends birthdays. We had a total of 7 of us last night and it was so fun. We arrived at 5pm and did not leave until after 10pm. We did more drinking that eating which is probably the reason my body is screaming it needs some healthy fluids...Everyone enjoyed their food and the buckets of beer did not stop. We ordered 3 buckets when the prices were discounted for happy hour then had 2 more buckets lol. After closing Nos Clubhuis down we went for a night cap at the Marriott for few more Heineken- like any of us really needed more, lol. Then we headed back to our room right around 11 or so.

I decided not to head out and gamble and just relaxed and had one last beer on the balcony before calling it a night. Today we are going to go the beach if our son ever wakes up. Staying up till almost 11pm wiped him out. Tonight is date night and we may actually head back out with a couple of our friends who are off as well but time will tell.

Sure, lol. It was a crazy night of drinking but a ton of fun. Still lounging around the pool/balcony today. Its hard to get moving when your son does not get up till 9:45.

Id be afraid to drink with Jay. I might end up flying home with a llama or one of those Ostriches from the farm..

Lol, funny! There is another person that probably should be afraid to drink with me all day and that is my wife. Last night was an ugly walk home for her from Bugaloe but she is doing okay this morning. Anyhow back to last night. We did not do much for dinner just some left overs and mostly a liquid diner. We ended up meeting 4 of our friends out at Bugaloe. The Joy Ride band was playing and they were outstanding as always. The place was packed and there was the cutest "older" couple dancing it up all night long- I hope I have half their energy when I am their age- which I am guessing was about 80 or so.

We stayed at Buglaoe until about 10:30 or so then we started the pilgrimage home. What should be about a 25 min walk turned in to more of about a 45 min painful experience getting the wife back home. The drinks were flowing all night and my wife paid the price, lol. I am guessing she passes on day drinking today but sometimes the easiest way to recover is jumping back up in to saddle and going strong.

Last night made a first in my 30 trips to Aruba. It was back to back days I did not gamble even for a second. I tucked my wife into bed and decided to not head out as she was in rough shape and if she was going to be ill I figured I should be around to assist- thankfully that did not happen. You know I am going to give her some serious ribbing about it today.

    Off to claim our palapa.

It's been along time since I had one of those nights. I hope she is feeling better today. One thing I read that helps with a night of drinking is to drink one glass of water for every drink. Have a drink, have a glass of water. It does help.
