Tuesday, September 13, not much to tell today. I went to spa Del Sol and had my relaxing aromatherapy massage and I booked another massage and the cucumber cooling thingy for the 29th. Spent the day at the little pool at Divi Village and then went to the cocktail party. I danced a little bit and didn’t win any of the raffle prizes lol. I went with four other people to Twist of flavors for dinner again. None of them have ever been and they all pretty much cleaned their plates and couldn’t say enough good things about their meal. I had the mushrooms again and the spring rolls. I finished it off with Kahlúa coffee. They all ordered the early bird special, to have the pork tenderloin and two had the grouper. Then I ordered my mushrooms and spring rolls and then they ordered mushrooms as well.

Stopped in to glitz and Casino on the way home with Cindy and Susan. They both did very well on the penny slots. I lost the $10 that they gave me for signing up for a card ha ha ha. They told me if I come back in the morning when I manager is there, the manager can probably help me out with Jackie’s ticket voucher. So we will find out tomorrow or Thursday morning when we head back up that way.

Wednesday September 14 spent most of the day at the infinity Pool next-door at the links. I ended up staying in and cooking myself a nice juicy bacon cheeseburger for dinner, and I had that with the leftover fries from Sunday night. Thursday morning I went back to La cabana with Marsha and Susan. I was able to cash in that voucher for Jackie. Marsha and Susan played this last for a little bit and then we went to Eduardo’s for some fruit bowls. We went for a cruise down to baby Beach and back because we didn’t want to be in the sun since we are all a little bit at that point.

Thursday night I went with Cindy and Steve to the local store. We split an order of fried pickles, some garlic Parmesan wings and some dude somethings wings. Then we each ordered a burger. Everything was so delicious I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place. I will definitely be back, hopefully for breakfast.

on Friday I was treated to a day at Renaissance Island with my former sister-in-law, her husband, one of her coworkers, and their friends. She got us a six person cabana on the iguana side and it was just fabulous. I had some fish tacos while we were there and a couple of beverages. We got there at nine in the morning and took the last boat back just after 6 o’clock. It was a wonderful day and it was fun to be waited on and spoiled. One of the flamingos has an egg. I am so hoping that the little guy hatches.

Saturday morning I went with my sister-in-law and Cindy to San Nicolas on the mural tour. Tito‘s mother picked us up and we started off in the gallery learning about him and his vision, and then he asked us a little bit about ourselves. We walked to the murals and learned about each one for about two hours. It was very interesting To learn about the artists and how they create their work. Tito is very passionate about this project and he was an excellent tour guide, giving us some history and explaining so many things besides the artwork along the way.

Afterwards, we went to O’Neil Caribbean Kitchen and invited Tito his mother and his aunt to join us, which they did. Cindy had an order of coconut shrimp and escargot. Amy and I split a coconut shrimp and she had the pork schnitzel and I had oxtail. Tito’s mother and aunt split an order as cargo and a Caribbean chicken and I cannot remember what you ordered but everything was delicious and smells so good. I had never had oxtail before so it was nice to be able to try it in a place where it is recommended highly.

on the way to Saint Nicholas, to his mother took us down by flying Fish bone and old man of the sea. Coming back home, Tito‘s aunt drove us back to the Renaissance and Divi. I was talking about reflections which is temporary closed for renovation it seems. But she said the Surfside next-door could be just as fun if we wanted to give that a try. She also recommended the little strip in front of that area for some nightlife for cocktails and entertainment.

for dinner this evening, eight of us went to the lionfish snack. None of us has been there yet and we are glad we finally tried it. Everybody really loved the fish. I was going to get some of the smoked spread to bring back home, but Cindy bought the last one. Maybe I’ll make it up that way again next Saturday to grab some. Tonight I am just starting to pack because tomorrow is moving day. I will post a couple of pictures here, but most of my photos I have been tTaking with my regular camera.

Loving your trip report and the photos. The cabanas at Renaissance are quite popular. I would like to reserve one when we get back to the island. Our last trip, we had one reserved but the trip was cancelled because of the pandemic so I’m still looking forward to spending a day that way.

Yes it was quite a treat for me. I was able to get a day pass and Amy had reserved a six person cabana because they were five of them anyway. Most of my photos are on my camera so I won’t be able to share them until after I get home but I do try to remember to snap of you with my phone so I can post as I go. I hope you are able to get the cabana and enjoy your day at the island when you go
