Wednesday night I went to the Tam to pick up my necklace from Gaby. The piece of glass I chose had the slightest bit of texture on it. Gabby feels confident this comes from a bottle of old grand Parr. I tried to capture the texture in the photo, but it is hard to see unless you hold it in the light just the right way. The photo shows some of the glass I found, but not all. I was able to find enough tiny pieces to put into my new earrings as well.
I then went to Fusion with six others. They all had cocktails and I had the prosciutto wrapped fried shrimp and Sharon had the fish and chips both were very good. Sharon, Mike and I went up to Bugaloe after. Giovanni was Hosting karaoke. We didn’t sing, but we did enjoy the others and we did dance a little bit we were home at a decent hour because Sharon was flying out Thursday morning.
I went back to spa Del Sol for my cooling cucumber wrap and aromatherapy relaxing massage. The cucumber body wrap was an interesting experience. I found it to be quite refreshing. I don’t know what they use for the facemask, but I loved what I did to my skin. Watching all the cucumber bits flow down the shower drain did make me giggle a little bit, though. That was a new experience for me. After the spa, I stopped at Dunkin’ Donuts and got an iced coffee and headed back to the Divi. As soon as I changed and got down to the pool, it started raining again. It didn’t last too long though and seven I was headed out for a 630 reservation at Madame Janette.
I had the lobster bisque and the Schwarzenegger schnitzel from their specials menu. The bisque was good but it’s a very large bowl for an appetizer, in my opinion. I ate all the chunks of lobster out of there and a little bit of the broth but didn’t want to fill up so I did not finish it. The schnitzel had little round potato slices, onions, pickles, and bacon, and cheese on top and was served with spatzle. It was very tasty and I ate as much as I could which was a little less than half. I didn’t bring the leftovers home since I am leaving tomorrow. I wanted to order the Irish disco biscuit for my dessert, but I just was too full. Others had the almond grouper, beef tenderloin, tournedos of beef, grilled shrimp, and another beef dish. Everybody enjoyed their food and all agree that the portions are quite large.
We had another bourbon and cigar night on Mike’s deck. There was no breeze at all and it was so muggy and gross sitting out there, but we still had fun chatting and listening to music. Four of us went to local store for breakfast this morning and we got there four of our other friends were just being seated. I have been wanting to go to breakfast ever since I had dinner there my first week. I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich with a side of bacon and a glass of passionfruit juice. The sandwich has a homemade chorizo gravy on it and I thought mine was so good that I ate the entire thing. I think two other people had the same dish and thought it was Good although the temperature could have been warmer. One person ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with a side of toast and two had the breakfast egg scramble which they also thought could have been just a little bit warmer. Service was good although quite slow and we had t o ask for silverware, butter and syrup. I think they offer drive-through pick up so they may have been busy with that.
after breakfast, my plan was to come back and spend the day in the pool. But as soon as we got back the skies opened up and it poured until around 330. At about 3 o’clock we met in the seabreeze bar to surprise Cindy with a birthday cake. We had fun hanging out together and Cindy was happily surprised with our gesture. We had over to the pool for about an hour and I came upstairs to start packing. I went to Cathy’s penthouse to take pictures of the sunset which was gorgeous tonight. Then back to my room to finish packing. I did take a break to go downstairs and sat on my bill and then I took the tram up to Alhambra and got some ice cream at Baskin-Robbins.
As of right now, my plane is supposed to be leaving on time tomorrow. I Plan to be at the airport by 11 for my 220 flight.
Hopefully all goes well, but I know it’s a Saturday so…
