    Tuckahoe trip report May 9-23

    The suitcases are by the front door, the alarm is set for 3:30 am, all paperwork is in order, passports and green check mark ✅ ready to show, and the car service will be here at 4:45am to take us to JFK. Our Delta flight leaves at 8:10 am. We did everything we could to make travel easy. We’re booked in first class, have TSA precheck/Global Entry and Clear, and are fully vaxed with two boosters. (Just got the second booster a week ago). We’re as ready as we’ll ever be. Tomorrow at this time we’ll be settled in at the Ocean Club for a two week stay.

    We’re here!
    Landed at 12:30mand were checked in to the Ocean Club before 1:30pm. Easy flight, breezed through Aruba customs, picked up our luggage and we were on our way!
    Our room is perfect- 4th floor, center of the U with beautiful views of the sea and the pool. We just finished lunch at Malmock. We’ve been up since 3 am so now we need a power nap and will head out to Lings for groceries around 6. The store is empty then so it’s a quick in and out. Later we’ll head over to the bar at Ruth Chris for martinis. We’ll split a steak and salad. If we’re still awake we will try our luck on the Stellaris slots.
    By the way, most folks on our flight were wearing masks. I’m guessing that since masks are mandatory in JFK people just kept them on once they boarded the airplane. We kept ours on without even realizing it. I guess it’s a part of life now.
