Blowin' in the Wind
Okay... the weather has been, charitably, "uneven", for the past few months. Not a lot of days have been bankable sunny and we always had to be at the ready to hurl speakers, iPhones, keys etc, into a Ziplock bag because of a sudden shower. Another unusual thing: the wind. The breeze is constant (per usual) but then there are these almost gale-force winds that occasionally come up - to the point where I've nearly stumbled on the road a few times while walking. Something's up. Climate change? Deniers... begin!!
Vaccine watch continues.
A quiet day around the house just upgrading some light fixtures. If you ever have need of solar lighting, look for the glass panels as the plastic ones disintegrate rapidly.
Steam mops are a godsend in an all-tile house. Now, if the island could just get its hands on some quality vacuums, (Miele!!) we'd be all set.
Going to head out to the grocery store today in the hopes of avoiding the hordes. If it looks dodgy, back home to fight another day.
New thing: we discovered one of our toilets is hooked up to hot water because: Aruba.

I really like your new Avatar, Act. I especially like the hair. But then the hair reminded me of the "Heat Miser" character from "The Year Without Santa Claus". I think you're from Canada so I'm not sure if you'd be familiar with that children's Christmas movie (an oldie but a goodie). The character felt Christmas should be celebrated with sun and heat - so perhaps you do have something in common?
