Are you reluctant to post "Your Aruba Story?"

Every time that I am in Aruba, I think to myself, gee I really do not want to bore people to death.
But, and the big but, is that although we may see our trips as a boring read, it really is not.

I think of how many trip reports that I read here and no matter how they are written or what the author is writing about, I am entertained and find myself living vicariously thru those stories.

So please continue to write and thank you.

When I post our story, I prefer to do it in daily posts rather than a long report. I don’t have that wit, that some of our forum friend’s have, to create a fun read!!

Andrea, I agree. I always wonder if anyone cares that we went to Rum Reef or Kamini's Kitchen or that we just vegged out on the Lazy River. But then I think about how much I enjoy reading about different members and the different things they do while in Aruba and how excited I get when a member is on the island and providing a trip report. So I will continue to bore folks with my almost daily report of such things as hanging at the pool bar playing bingo, floating on the Lazy River and ocean and other things we find fun with. If nothing else I can look back and see what we did years ago and what we might like to do again.

So please you guys, keep posting about your trip, we love the read!

Funny you said this because I have already been thinking about our next trip (next month) and that I probably wasn't going to post much of anything because people don't want to read "Had another five Balashis today..." over and over again. I feel like I am still too "new" (even though this will be our third trip) to post and that alla yinz (gotta get my Pittsburghese in there!) will be like, "Oh great. She is off doing all the things we all already know about. Duh..." and you would be bored. Maybe I will post anyway.

I always say to myself that I'm not going to post my boring trip report and then I end up writing one. I always find something comical to write about like the Palapa Hoggers, the sandman and if I go to a new restaurant I do enjoy giving my honest review and sometimes with photos. I might have outgrown posting every single day but perhaps I'm more suited to posting every 2 days even though I only go for 1 week at a time.

No such thing as 'been there - done that'...... any trip report is welcome...... and I always look back at my own from years ago!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

As someone who lives on the island most of the year.....I love reading trip reports. Never read a boring one so those people must be posting somewhere else ! In addition I am always happy to read people's restaurant experiences. We tend to stick to our corner of the world so reading about restaurant experiences reminds me of places I like or would like to try! Thanks!

I probably will. Just make sure someone tells me if they are bored of it all.
