I think it is nice that Sandy said thanks to all.
Having someone say thanks, means a lot.
Manchebo is a great choice.

THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? SIDTM
I am glad you choose Manchebo. I am with Peg on the Bucuti but for different reasons. I tried to make reservations and left a message as they were not open and they never called me back. Its okay not to have reservations available...but a call to say so would have been great.
The Manchebo looks wonderful and I am sure you will love it.
You are not in minority. We are totally agree with you. The beach is gorgeous but the Elements offering terrible food and service. Being #1 resort in Caribbean, they should provide food better quality. Lunch buffet for $25. You should see the quality and look of this food.
Manchebo is a excellent choice.. I always stay at Costa Linda but I do walk over and use spa and eat there.. Nice and quiet.
My 2cents. Never stayed there, visited several times.
Great Beach area... some of the best on island.
BUT don't plan on Pool time, note pictures of pool... not much... small, hidden behind the restaurant, lousy chairs (all 10 of them).
Sorry if I'm a negative nealy here.. but the pool is not much more than a splash pool.
Also not much around here to visit that I see... no beach bars, restaurants... again I may be wrong, so take this with a bit or a lot of salt.
But if you don't care you have the best beach in the world to sit on... enjoy.
Again IMHO it is overpriced...
The Bucuti pool is really small and in such an odd location. It literally bumps up alongside the restaurant Elements. If you are in the restaurant you can watch everyone swimming, feels like they are next to you and if you are in the pool, gawk at everyone dining. In fairness though, when Elements is open they usually remember to put the shade down!
As for beach bars, Bucuti has the Sand Bar which is for guests only. Manchebo has Pega Pega which we much prefer and then there is the bar at Matthews and the bar at Ricardos. There are also a number of restaurants within walking distance. We didn’t care for Elements so we would go to Ike’s Bistro, Chophouse, Ricardos, Pizza Bobs, Twist of Flavors and a few others. what I’m trying to say is there are plenty of restaurants to go to plus there is the casino within walking distance. We like the area just didn’t care for Bucuti.
