would you consider staying here?

I would and it would not be a last choice.

We love Surfside beach, we like the downtown, we like driving to San Nic and Savaneta.

The Hyatt place is a lovely property and the pool is very nice too!

Probably not. It doesn't seem to have the vibe I’m looking for. It looks more geared for the business traveler.

Yeah, we'd stay there maybe if we had an early flight out. It is convenient to downtown for the last night, spend some time downtown, get back to the room and you're already at the airport the next morning. It would have to be a special circumstance for us to book though.

we don't do hotels (except Vegas). We always rent a house or condo.

I’m with Walt. If there was some circumstance where I needed an extra night and/or had an early flight home. I tend to book the latest possible flight, so it would be a special circumstance. I’m still geared towards staying on beachside or Eagle Beach type places.

Our situation is different then others, but if we has to we would.

we have had to stay extra nights a few times (I think 5)
2x we were on a charter (TNT out of Boston) and there was an equipment problem.
both of those times we were housed at Talk of the Town and although going into the place we thought "oh god, this is not going to be good"...but it was OK, we liked it!

another 2x weather cancelled our flight and we stayed at Renaissance Marina and it was good.

those 4 times I would have much preferred the Hyatt Place.

the most recent time that we had to stay extra days was because there was a hurricane making its way to S Florida.......AA cancelled everything coming in to MIA or departing MIA. We were stuck for an extra 3 or 4 days and LaCabana was where we extended our stay. the funny thing was that the storm took a big turn to the east and never hit s. florida.

although I certainly would choose LaCabana for my full stay, as I said in posting 1, I absolutely would consider staying here.
