    New Condos at Amsterdam Manor

Anyone have more information about this? There is a new access road being built by the LaCabana associates' parking lot.

The area is being developed for future hotel expansion/condos (or both) with no scheduled starting date yet. Still in the early planning stages.

Is this part of the Marriott project that is going to happen in that area?

No. Nothing to do with the Marriott. Different developer.

It will be an "addition" and not a new developer/new hotel.

But yes, more rooms = more people on the beach.

Thanks for the clarification. I am going to stop talking about the Ritz being quiet, people may "move in", lol.

More rooms, more people, not always a good thing. I hope the utility infrastructure in the area can handle more rooms. We've been in that area when there was an issue in the past..not pleasant. I hope the utility departments require the developers to contribute to some of the cost for needed upgrades to increase capacity in the sewer treatment systems throughout the island.

Very good points Tracey. I am against the building at this point. I too say enough is enough, but my vote does not count, lol.

The sewer treatment systems throughout the island stinks! Pun intended!

It also causes lots of Parvo when there is rain. The sewer gets pushed to the surface!
