I Stayed At The Westin Last April. I Really Liked It With The Exception That The Ac In The Room Could Have Been Colder. We Did Learn However That If You Open Your Patio Door And Do Not Close It Tightly The Ac Goes Off So Keep That In Mind. The Japanese Restaurant - Blossoms Was Excellent. Also Azull - Very Romantic Only Six Couples Taken Was Great. The Service At The Front Desk Was Good - It Was Not Excellent. Good Location. Have No Regrets - Would Stay There Again.

Never stayed there but I have heard good things about the Westin - Just wanted to agree with Joanie A that Blossoms is very good - we go every year.

The rooms were pretty good but the pool needs updating. We stayed there in September there were plenty of tiles on the side of the pool missing. Otherwise, it is a very good value.
My wife and I spent two weeks at the Westin for our honeymoon in August 2006 and just went back to the Westin for a second honeymoon last month. They are doing some renovation ( an addition to the lobby area is presently under construction) but the room renovations appear to be complete. Service at the hotel is excellent. The pool area may need some updating but the Westin has the best beach area. Palapas on the beach have to be reserved and you must wait on line very early (7 am). You can now rent for a few days at a time for a $30 fee but waiting on line one or two days is not so bad as that early morning time on the beach is spectacular. I would recommend eating at Azull on the beach (Ask for Rudy or Rene) and Pago Pago in the hotel. If you venture out, Flying Fishbone has the most romantic setting. Make reservations for 6:00 and dine barefoot in the water while watching the sunset. If you like steak, you must go to El Gaucho.
You have made the right choice. I have been to Aruba two years in a row now and plan on returning for vacation each year. Something about the island.
I stayed there when it was called the Concord, (that was many years ago), it was fantastic then. We have since been into the casino and such, all very nice.
Happy hunting!
I don't suppose you kept anything with the casino name on it (chips, dice, playing cards, matchbooks, postcards, slot cards, swizzle sticks, keychains, etc.) that you no longer need???Hey, I have to give it a shot. I'm willing to pay a fair price.
If so, please pm me! If not, you can't blame an obsessive collector for trying.![]()
Sorry, I am not that smart to keep them, but if I had I would just give it to you!!
Do you have any from Deadwood South Dakota? Great spot way out of the way!
I go there a few times a year!!
It's that rare time that someone says yes that makes it worth asking. No problem.
I have a couple of chips from Deadwood. It's a fun little town. I enjoyed seeing the chair (or at least a chair of the era) at Saloon No. 10. It's not a collecting focus of mine. I really concentrate on a few small areas. That way I have some hope of getting most of the stuff. Aruba is my number one focus! Hey, I just love the place.![]()
Yes sir I love Deadwood! Have you ever been to Black Hawk in Coloardo, that is a very nice town with great Casino's?
Big world out there!!![]()
