Chairs permanently chained
We now come to Aruba for the seventh consecutive year for the nice weather, the lovely people, the delicious food, etc. but to my sadness I see the island becoming more and more Americans. The big hotels, condos, apartment complexes are set up like mushrooms, the prices are rising, but my biggest annoyance is that (mostly) Americans chain their beds / chairs to palapas and then only appear in the afternoon. Is there nothing to do against this?
I understand that Aruba should have it from tourism and that the Americans probably "digest" more than the European, but that does not, in my opinion, have anything to do with chaining beds / chairs.
The romance of the island is slowly disappearing and that would be eternal sin.
