    Announcement

Over the last few days, we have had SPAM with folks hawking their spam on the forum. Those members have now been banned.
Seriously, shamelessly hawking of one's goods is NOT ALLOWED and you WILL be banned.

Here is how the rule reads about your signature line and posting your link. That is the only way to promote your business.

    Signature Line:
The goal of our signature rules is to avoid distractions while reading threads, stop solicitations and unwanted spam. These rules apply to all "Aruba.com Community Forum" users including moderators and administrators.
You may use a signature (also commonly used in email messages) on your posts on the Community Forum. You may set your signature in your member profile. Once you have a signature stored, you can choose to include it with any post you make by checking the "include signature" box when you create your post.
Your "signature" may not exceed two lines, and may contain one image no larger than 10Kb in size, 300 pixels wide and 50 pixels high. A typical signature contains the poster’s name, e-mail address, web site, and a favourite quote or saying.
While you are allowed to promote your personal web site(s) in your signature, you are not permitted to post excessive links to sites, any kind of affiliate programs with referrer IDs, or links that otherwise violate "Aruba.com Community Forum" Rules.
We reserve the right to remove any signatures that we deem inappropriate, without notice.
We don’t advise putting your email, home address, or phone number in a signature line because of possible email harvesting and your privacy. For your protection we do not allow addresses and/or phone numbers in signature lines or the body of posts. We reserve the right to modify or remove any signature. Moderators will edit out signatures that violate any of these rules. We will send you one PRIVATE MESSAGE about an incorrect signature line. If you do not correct it, moderators/administrators have the right to access your profile and edit your signature line. If the problem persists you will be suspended from posting on the "Aruba.com Community Board".
    --------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the rule about advertising

Do not post advertising, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation on "Aruba.com Community Forum". If you can answer a specific question by mentioning your business or website, or posting a URL that’s fine, but just posting your URL or any URL’s not acceptable. Again this is not the area to post a link, encourage visitors to your website, or advertise your products.

    IGNORE feature

Yes, it is possible to "ignore" certain things/postings/members without much effort.

Let's say that John Doe makes postings that either
    a) annoy
    b) anger
    c) drive you bonkers
    d) totally not interested in what John Doe has to say

You "can and should" use the "ignore" feature that is offered.

Go to Settings. Menu on the left will have an IGNORE option.

Add the member's name whom you'd like to ignore and then click on IGNORE. .

(moderators, are not allowed to use ignore feature...)

A few things to read when you have a moment or 2.

It is that time of the year to send out the gentle reminder to read the rules when you have a chance.

    http://www.aruba.com/forum/misc.php?do=showrules

Also too...... As general reminders, if you are looking for a short or long term rental or a vacation rental for a week or 2 or 3 (to occupy or to rent out) please use the appropriate forums....not the "property owners" forum.

If you have a timeshare to rent out......please add in the daily and the per stay tax that the renter will have to pay at the resort.

Please if you have photos, please add them to your postings using the forum's software that is provided.

Please know that your presence and participation are well appreciated and welcomed. All opinions are welcomed.

Aruba is known for its welcoming ways and incredible hospitality. These forums here at Aruba.com are to welcome and inform with kindness, friendliness and hospitality.
