Hello! Somehow can't answer a private message and my post was moved - did I do anything wrong which can be fixed? This is unusual topic, but may be interested for some and first reaction was positive, what happened?

Just guessing but assume it was moved as the conversation was less about Aruba. Off topic seems to be the appropriate spot. Don’t think you did anything wrong. Moderators are always reviewing the posts and sometimes find it necessary to move things around.

Not sure why you can’t read a pm. You may need to have a certain number of posts before this function works?

But you did move it off topic like it is not about Aruba - why it does not fit to " my Aruba story" - it is my Aruba story?

    yes I did move it.
It is not part of your Aruba Story.
Description of ARUBA STORY category........... SHARE YOUR TRIP REPORTS and SPECIAL ARUBA EXPERIENCES.
Since this did not fall into the ARUBA STORY or GENERAL category, it was moved.

It is definitely your forum and rules, but from this description my story fits - it really is my story, happened on Aruba and if not SPECIAL ARUBA EXPERIENCE - then what is?

Diomid, let me explain if I may. This is a forum about Aruba. We, the forum members, share our thoughts about restaurants, airport wait times, snorkeling tours, taxi rides, weddings, hotels/timeshares/private villas, a myriad of things. We post trip reports in the "My Aruba Story". They are our experiences while visiting the island, we tell folks where we had dinner, what tour we did, if we went to a casino and if we won or lost, or maybe we sat on the beach all day, we just relate our day to day lives on the island. Those of us back home, wherever that may be, the US, Canada, the Netherlands, all live vicariously through their reports and offer suggestions along the way or answer questions the poster may have, who has the best pizza, where do they serve real grouper, things like that. There is another group of people that read our forum, they are not registered but are guests. They can't post any questions or reply to any threads but they are welcome none the less to share in our excitement in all things Aruba and learn from our posts. Sometimes these guests register and join in the fun, sometimes they are content to lurk and just read all of the posts that interest them. We owe them the same as we owe our members, a friendly, respectful place to learn about Aruba.

All of this being said, it brings me to your post. When you first posted, you mentioned a "special feeling" that you experienced at one of the most sacred chapels on the island. It was enlightening, and was well received by our members, in spite of the somewhat ethereal descriptions. And I agree it was a special experience for you. Then your post drifted to the Allatra society meeting you attended in Atlanta, Georgia. Definitely not a location associated with Aruba, other than Delta has flights to the island originating there. By mentioning the Allatra society, it sets a flag with the moderators as we wonder if you have an agenda not keeping within the rules. Our first response is to move the post to "Off Topic". Unfortunately continuing to respond to our actions in a somewhat negative manner increases our concern with your post.
You are right in saying "it's our forum and rules", but bear in mind they weren't developed to intimidate or demean a poster. They are in place to keep a reasonable amount of decorum in the forum and to establish a set of rules to abide by.

Please know that your presence and participation are well appreciated and welcomed. All opinions are welcomed.
Aruba is known for its welcoming ways and incredible hospitality. These forums here at Aruba.com are to welcome and inform with kindness, friendliness and hospitality. I hope you will read my response with an open mind, and please understand I am not trying to intimidate you or make you feel uncomfortable. Thanks for being a member of our great forum!

Hello! Thank you for the reply and attention to the matter! No question about - I agree, sure! The main thing worth learning from the Universe - how to see positive in every situation and Aruba is the place for people who understands that and this is the perfect case to practice! Thank you for the ability to make my experience known to others. Just I did mention not Alta Vista Church, but Labyrinth behind it.

Positive does attract positive. This is true. Aruba is an amazingly positive place.

Thank you Walt for your awesome in depth explanation and response!
