I got my booster without an issue at the pharmacy we always use. I told my friend who is going to France with us and she tried to book an appointment to get the booster and they would not let her get it for another week-6 months since her last shot. We cannot figure out why they allowed me at 5 months and denied her at 5 months 3 weeks.

We did get our negative Abbott test this morning for France.

Glad you were able to get the booster especially since you will be traveling. Maybe you’ll post a France trip report?

I’m kind of surprised that they are giving 3rd shots of the Moderna. From what I’ve been reading, it sounds like the Moderna booster will be a half dose, but, of course, you never know. I was tempted to try and get it but decided to hold off since I just worry about everything!

the reaction to our 3rd Moderna was bothersome. I can well imagine how your cousins felt.
we had the shot at 9 am and I then ran a few errands and had a splitting headache by 10 am.
we both swam from noon til about 2 and then came home.
by 8 pm we were both achey and miserable and my head was pounding.
Paul took the dog out for her nightly stroll and it was raining....he did not have the strength to hold the umbrella up due to his body aching all over.

it was a difficult night of discomfort.

the next day we were normal ........well we have never been normal

I advise all who are getting their 3rd dose, make sure that you have no plans for later in the day or evening.
plan on laying low with Tylenol nearby.

The Pfizer booster reaction is about the same as my second shot, however; my arm really hurt this time. I had the shot at 130 and while at the wedding, it started to hurt a little. Overnight, it got worse and kept waking me up. I took some ibuprofen in the am. By dinner time I had a hard time holding my friends 3 month old granddaughter. Around 10 pm I started feeling chilled and achy and my glands/lymph nodes in my armpit started hurting(it it after both shots). I took some more ibuprofen and went to bed and slept all night. Armpit is still bothering me but the chills and achiness are gone.

Took the words right out of my mouth...

I want to get my flu and first shingles shot before I get my Moderna booster. Hmm, guess I better get on that...
