Sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction, Robin. Really looking forward to hearing about your trip to France!

Around 10 pm I started feeling chilled and achy and my glands/lymph nodes in my armpit started hurting(it it after both shots). I took some more ibuprofen and went to bed and slept all night. Armpit is still bothering me but the chills and achiness are gone.

We're not due for our moderna booster until Dec., but I'm not so sure I want it. I did have a bad reaction about two weeks after the second shot. I had another a week later. It really shook me up. I certainly haven't decided against it, just not sure either way.

I’m eligible now for a booster but my first shots were Moderna so I plan to wait until the Moderna booster is offered. Just not comfortable mixing vaccines. From what I’ve been reading, it sounds like the Moderna booster may only be a half dose. I wonder if that will help minimize the severity of any reactions? I did have some issues with the second shot. At first it was just a sore arm and then it was really painful. Fortunately, the pain only lasted about 3 or 4 hours.

I'm waiting for my Moderna booster as well. From what I have read, CDC isn't recommending it is time yet if you are not compromised in some way. I want to get my flu and first shingles shot out of the way first. May do that this weekend.

My husband and I received our Pfizer booster vaccines on Sept. 28th. We were 7 months since our 2nd shots. I had a reaction after both but they were the usual chills, achy, headache, etc. They only lasted a day. Well, Tues. night (day of the booster) I had fallen asleep on the couch watching the Yankees and I woke up with my heart racing really fast. It slowed a bit and raced again. The lymph nodes under my arm were swollen. I made myself a cup of tea and tried to relax and it settled down. I stayed up a few hours watching videos and figured if it started again I would wake my husband and go to the ER. I will mention it to PCP. My lymph nodes are still sore. I guess the vaccines can have strong reactions.
