Canada - US border to remain closed

    Good afternoon,

The Canada-United States border will remain closed until at least November 21, 2020. There is no non-essential travel permitted between the two countries. Essential travel (those who can cross the border) generally means cross-border truckers and healthcare workers.

Again, the border closure applies to the land crossings.

I'm not trying to start anything, but I just don't see the logic.

People near the border(within a few hours) will travel into Canada because the US $ is strong, so they go their to shop.

    Our Canadian "snowbirds" are missed.
Actually, I do not mind not seeing all of the Toronto license plates adding to our already awful traffic on I4 and I75.
However on our golf course here they are missed.

Most of our Canadian residents "fly in".
    They keep cars here.
So the driving in that is closed is a non issue for many of our residents.
It is the huge costs of the additional "Covid" portion of their health supplement that they are required to buy when they come to the USA.
I still wonder what the Canadian long term visitors to Aruba are doing re: their supplement?

Thanks, I really don't see driving a couple of hours to save money as being very logical either, but to each his own.
