I want to grow my own food, but I can't find any bacon seeds...
New Jersey (also Ct. & NY) ordered all restaurants and bars to close tonight at 8PM. Restaurants can be opened for take-outs. We always go to our little Italian restaurant around the corner on St. Patrick’s Day for corned beef and cabbage. Well, my husband gets corned beef and I get something Italian. I’m going to call and hopefully they will be opened to take-out. Yesterday’s grocery shopping was crazy. We always shop on Sunday morning (7am) with about 20 people in the store. Yesterday there must have been 520! Shelves were so empty. Luckily we only needed a few specific items. We couldn’t get bread of any kind. This morning on our way to the cemetery to put on a Palm cross we stopped in a small market and scored a loaf of bread. We’re all set to hunker down for as long as necessary. Thank heavens for Hulu, Disney +, Netflix and Prime Video!
NJ schools ordered closed-no end.
New Jerseyans should not leave their homes from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., as Gov. Phil Murphy announced an extraordinary action of recommending a statewide curfew for his 9 million residents to attempt to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.
All casinos, restaurants, bars, movie theaters and gyms must shut down at 8 p.m. and will remain closed until further notice.
No more than 50 people in an establishment at a time.

All bars and restaurants in MA closed after today 'cept for take out and delivery. Schools closed. I worry about the mom & pop restaurants w/o liquor licenses... they'll suffer the most. McDonalds, DD and Wendy's will flourish. No gatherings of more than 25 ppl. I fully expect to hear that all retail stores will close for a period of time.
Maryland closed all gyms, bars and restaurants as of 5pm, but restaurants can do take out or delivery. They also closed casinos.and horse tracks. It's sad but they had to close these places to keep people out.
We were told to work from home until further notice, so who knows when that will be.
One thing I thought was interesting in Massachusetts is telemedical appointments are being encouraged. Insurers are being instructed to bill these appointments the same as regular medical appointments.
I stopped in CVS pharmacy this morning to pick up a 90 day prescription. It was for the most part well stocked. I was able to pick up milk and eggs but rubbing alcohol, toilet paper, masks and aloe were not available.
On a completely selfish note we’re going to miss our Wednesday and Friday lunches playing keno at Grumpys. The sudden loss of income will be rough on these folks. Hoping when we’re all back to normal, customers will be generous.
Ohio has shut down all bars and restaurants as of 9pm last night. They are doing take out and delivery orders. Some of the local breweries are allowing people to come and buy packaged (bottles, cans) beer, but not doing growler fills of any kind unless you buy the growler from them onsite. All schools are closed down for at least three weeks, but they are now debating keeping them closed for the remainder of the semester. We have yet to move to a "work from home" scenario where I work, but it could be coming. We are a small company (10 people total) and 5 of us are in the office at most, but I have just been given the go-ahead to get our new phone system on order that would allow everyone to work remotely.

We are hoping to get to Aruba sooner than later, once all of the dust settles. Maybe we will end up there in May with the other bunch of folks from the forums here that are also there and we can all have a drink together!
Mayor of Boston has just announced that construction will be banned in Boston effective tomorrow.
I guess I ought to take the ticker out of my signature now.This is making me sad seeing we were going to be leaving in 5 days. *sigh*
