Thanks for the suggestion Jay! At least for the protein side of my grocery list we will be well prepared!

Love Omaha Steaks! Ive been ordering from them for years. I love their filet mignon, burgers, breaded veal cutlets oh and their big portion deli hot dogs. Sometimes pricey but I usually order during sales and or free delivery offers.

We’re very fortunate to have an Omaha Steak Store in the next town over from us. This saves on the delivery charge and they also occasionally run sales. We haven’t been in a while but now will think about it. We also sent my brother-in-law an assortment for Christmas. He loved the variety!

What are the restrictions where you live? Here only essential business are supposed to be open, but it seems like people are still doing what they want. I saw the dollar store was open, and just read about a few other business that are open. We have a central vacuum system in the house. It is as old as the house 22-23 years old and we never had a problem with it. It was giving issues to the people who clean and I couldn't figure it out. I googled a place for service and called. I didn't consider them essential, but wanted to get on their service list. The guy came out yesterday(the same day I called). It was something simple and I am happy to have it working, but was it really an "essential" service?

Our restrictions are the same. Only essential businesses are open; grocery; liquor stores; restaurants for take out or delivery only. Nail salons, hair salons etc have all been told to close. Schools in Boston are closed until May 4th.

it was essential for you right?
I am sure that the person took the appropriate social distancing and sanitation?

    essential..........depends on who you ask.
my son is a nuclear engineer on refitting and overhauling nuclear subs in dry dock at PSNY.
when he is not in his office troubleshooting or working on procedures, he is in tiny spaces on a sub with others in full protective gear.

well, due to security he cannot bring his work home with him.
nor can he discuss his work for the most part.

yesterday a neighbor, moving back to England forever has a moving sale.........inside her house and garage.
    REALLY???!! how unsafe was that?

we have an airco service next week.
he will be in my house, my attic to check the air handler and uv light and outside at the outside unit whatever that is called.
    we will keep our distance
he will wear a mask and gloves

essential is dependent on who you ask.

    has your state set guidelines?

Virginia posted a definitive list that actually makes sense. I think service people, plumbers, airco guys, etc. are very essential. If you don't, what happens when you flush all of the TP you've been hoarding? My nephew is a plumber and his business calls have been nonstop.
