My niece is a RN working on a COVID ward. Her words of advice are: "A zoom Thanksgiving is better than an ICU Christmas."

Covid may have put a damper on a 149 year old Thanksgiving Day football rivalry. Our high school and one of the neighboring towns have played against each other for 148 years-the longest high school rivalry in the state and one of the oldest in the country will not be played on Thanksgiving due to a player being exposed to Covid. They are hoping to play it over the weekend, but it may not happen. While I never went to the Thanksgiving Day games while I high school because we would be out of town, when my son was in marching band, I was there for the games and it was fun to be part of a tradition that is so old.
Always went to the Thanksgiving Day games when in high school and even for a few years after graduation. In recent years we listed to it on the radio. Not this year though the North Quincy vs Quincy 88th Annual Thanksgiving game has been cancelled. Sad that the high schools kids are missing out on so much this year.
