Paul had an Otolaryngologist Appt today..I dropped him and then went on to Aldis.
    Paydirt!
Aldis not only had everything on my list, they also had Clorox(like) disinfecting wipes.
I bought for 1 for my neighbor and 1 for me.

I was able to buy about 10 items for us and 5 items for my elderly neighbor.
Paul and I and her kids are telling her daily to stay put...if you need something, say something and we will work on it.

Chili going now in the crockpot.

When at Aldis I had on a mask and also latex gloves. Most everyone in the store was masked and gloved.
They also had tape on the floor at 6' increments showing where to stand to keep social distant.

So far I have been sticking with the delivery option. I don’t, of course, get everything I ordered and you do have to keep logging on to try and snag a time slot. Just put in another order for what I didn’t get this week and hoping for the best. What has worked out is my online ordering. From Amazon I got a summer sausage and cheese gift pack with pretzels and trail mix that I was happy with. My Nueske order came this morning so we had smoked boneless pork chops for lunch. Having nice meals helps to break up the day. Maybe tomorrow I’ll even use the good china!!

I have been putting off doing a run ( and I mean that literally ) to the grocery store. We are running low on bread, butter, milk, coffee creamer, etc. By the beginning next week I am going to have to go. I’m not usually a Stop & Shop shopper, but they have early morning hours for seniors ( I still have trouble using that word ) that I might take advantage of. I’ve started a list and told my husband to add to it what we absolutely need for the next few weeks. Does anyone remember having a milkman to deliver eggs and butter besides milk? I remember having one growing up. My parents had a metal milk box by their side door where things would be left. Many years ago we also had milk machines on various corners which had the coldest milk.

Not really my hometown at all but Vermont just closed school for the rest of the year. They "only" have roughly 160 cases and Mass has 2500, its only a matter of time before Ma follows suit and cancels school for the rest of the year as well.

Yes, we also had a metal box. I remember most daily products being delivered, but then again I was little.

I remember the garbage man. There was a hole in the ground with a covered bucket where all the scraps went. When my parents would argue with me to finish eating my dinner I would say I wanted to feed the piggies! Boy did it stink when they came for pickup.

I loved when the Marcus Dairy truck would come up our driveway to fill our metal box with milk, ice cream and butter! Mom used to let me he!p her fill out the order sheet and place it in the box for the next delivery. Good memories...
