    that is just fine!

the cruise lines will not open early, for that I am sure.

    how is your mom Edgar?
Mom is doing well. I'm keeping her away from people. No visitors and I haven't been out of the house in 9 days. I may need to go out for some supplies some time this week unless my brother stops bye with a few supplies like he did last week. We are rationing food. Good time to lose weight and I need it..

You’re doing the right thing Ace. Staying in is the safest option. I’ve been out of the house once in 15 days. It’s just take it day by day.

It’s been 10 days since I’ve ventured out. We were really starting to run out of things. We’re fine with TP, paper towels, water, etc. since we’re Costco and BJ’s shoppers. This morning I went to Stop & Shop armed with my list at 6am. There were only a few shoppers and even at that hour the store was pretty stocked. I got mostly what I needed ( fruit, veggies, milk, butter, coffee creamer, etc ). I thanked the cashier and her bagger for working. I told my husband we should be good 10-14 days. Living in North Jersey so close to NYC we just don’t want to take any chances. I was shocked to find out tonight my town has 50 confirmed cases and someone has passed away. Our town is only about 2 miles in size and has some 18,000 residents. We also found out someone my husband worked with passed away over the weekend from Covid-19. It’s so scary.

To all of my friends that I have met in person and/online, I pray that we all get through this. Its not a joke anymore, I am not sure I ever thought it was but I know many did....I am beyond sad! Worrying about friends and family is keeping me awake at night.

I honestly think I am my own worst enemy at this point. I don't have a ton of "family/friends" in this world but the ones I have I want to keep and this fing virus is not helping me or my mental state very much. I honestly think more than half of my worries are all my island friends....some of them are some of the best friends I have in this world and its really weighing me down. I do a good job of "ignoring" my worries till I tuck my family into bed...then they come out and now you can listen to them, sorry!

I was just informed of a retired employee fro my company died from Covid. She was one of my first supervisors when I first started working at the company 34 years ago. I owed some of my success to her. There was a time when layoffs were going on in the department we worked for because it was being relocated to a new head quarter in Bethlehem PA from NY. She got on the phone, called other department Managers asking if they had a position available for a promising young 25 year old who had only been with the company for 3 years at that point. There was an open position in another position, she set up the interview for me and suggested I go the meeting because it was most likely i would be canned after only 3 years with the company. I took her advise and went to the meeting/interview and was hired for the position right on the spot. Years later I moved up to different positions with different departments. If it wasn't for her I would not have had such a long career. RIP Miriam..

It really hits home when you find out someone you knew died of this virus and makes it even more real and serious.

    Be safe my friends!
