    Despite the headline, this is a good article. Numbers infected going up, but number of deaths going down. Some states tightened restrictions that were previously lifted. I found this to be a good read.

    For the first time since the beginning of March, our hospital reported today that they have no coronavirus patients admitted! I hope CT can hold out against the rash behavior of people in so many states. For the most part, people have been diligent and followed the guidelines. I'm really proud of our governor for the slow, thorough and careful job he has and is doing through this and that he, as well as Gov Murphy in NJ, followed the lead of Gov. Cuomo in NY. They've made quite the trifecta.

    I finally got to see Reid (8 yo grandson) yesterday when my daughter stopped by my work to get my old laptop for him. It was so odd social distancing with him in the parking lot..... shoulda been hugs. Great to see them after months!

    That is good news Lisa! We still have 15 active cases. So many people are being lax about the masks I’m surprised we don’t have more. Massachusetts has been conservative with the reopening but the news from around the country is discouraging.

    we spent some time on the beach recently and I saw:
    many with lots of distance between umbrella groups.
    many wearing masks when they were waiting in the line to be seated at the pavilion style restaurant

    here in my area:
    I have a pool water exercise class daily and some of the older ladies are wearing masks.
    we are spaced well.
    we are still residents only.
    my husband has yet to go back to our community's gym or shuffleboard or bocce.
    golf.......is back to normal. all leagues and couples play is back to normal.
    the only thing about golf is still residents only.

    our clubhouse is still closed with the exception of restrooms and showers for the pool users.

    Indoor dining was supposed to start at 25% capacity today, but earlier this week the governor put a stop to it citing rising cases in the rest of the country. Malls are opened at reduced capacity and many are not allow those under 18 in unless they are with a parent. David got a haircut yesterday and I go tomorrow. We have a questioner to fill out before we go. The place I am most uncomfortable is the chiropractor's office. Monday I sat in the car because the place was packed. They do not believe in vaccines and actively lead the fight against them. They take all the precautions, but allow you to remove your mask during treatment because they wear theirs and that along with the number of people in the place makes me uncomfortable. Once my neck and back feel better I won't be going as often.

    Numbers are crazy here.
    Just read that a few of "Publix stores" had a few employees testing positive. (thankfully I do not visit those stores)
    Publix are paying their employees if they test positive or quarantine for 14 days. Kudo's to them
    Bars are now closed in Florida. But restaurant are open and can serve alcohol.
    Still have not adventure out; if I go to the store it's only when I get off at 7am nobody is there
    or to work and home.
    So far Florida schools will be open; my son's school district is delayed a few days for voting... hope they clean it
    good afterwards.
    Hope everyone is safe and well.

    Massachusetts is moving into Phase 3 on Monday July 6th with the exception of Boston which will be a week later. Gyms, movie theaters, and casinos can open with restrictions. Still no sitting at the bar. Sounds like that won’t be allowed until there is a vaccine available. I feel for my friends who work in the industry as it looks like a long wait for them to be called back to work IF they get called back. However, given the number of cases across the country, the governor seems to be making the right call.

    I give Mass lots of credit according to my family (most live up there) are doing a lot better than us down in Florida;
    We had to venture out to BJ's whole sale club; family room TV passed away; lol gave it a proper send off
    Got Lou a really nice samsung 75" crystal udh 4K smart tv; (samsung gave 3 yrs warranty and Bj's gave us 3 yrs) and a new wireless sound system to go with it (had gift cards from work so it worked out well)
    Order it and picked it up; Now hoping we will have some NFL to watch.
    He is very happy, since he only goes out to do yard work in the am and will let the TV watch him nap;
    Now just have to order some new hinges to put it on the wall (all our TV's are that way)
