All the best for his speedy recovery! No doubt a scary night and morning for all of you. While it is certainly imperative that we all be kept abreast of the situation, it breaks my heart that he was afraid he was going to die. No one, especially a child, should feel that way. CT has its' first confirmed case (excluding the two hospital workers who are from NY but work in CT hospitals). A gentleman in his 40s who recently travelled to California.

There are 10 or 11 town officials (including the superintendent) that have been exposed to the virus at a town party/get together of some sort with someone that has a confirmed case. They are all in self quarantine in their homes.

We live smack in the middle of 2 military bases which both have confirmed cases of Corona. It is a little concerning that 2 marines have been hospitalized, when I think marine I think young, strong, and healthy, so having them both hospitalized is unsettling.

We went to a memorial service today and it was so odd - people not hugging or shaking hands - backing away or touching elbows. The ladies of the church all wearing gloves to serve punch. Think about a memorial service where no one hugs or shakes hands - these are different times we are living in.

Yup A physical therapist came to my home for my mother. He washed his hands in the bathroom, brought his own hand soup, put on gloves, afterwards washed his hands again when leaving and then said to me, I really would like to shake your hands but under the circumstances with the corona virus you know I don't think its wise to do so. I said that's ok I just washed my hands as well but maybe we can do like the Japanese and bow. He laughed...

Went to the "Chinese"(mini-market) today in Noord and saw the cashiers using gloves. They also had hand sanitizer available on the counters. It surprised me a bit but its good to see its taken seriously.

I could not agree more as the flu would never send those guys to the hospital.... This whole thing has me on edge and I praying all goes well but I am honestly less sure about that as the days go on. There is a reason why Italy among other places have shut down a good part of their country.... I will never forget what my cousins husband told me at a family function when I asked about the day to day of his job. His response was scary and it was basically if the general public knew what we dealt with on a daily basis they would never leave their homes. He is high up on the food chain within the FBI-
