Boy has the weather changed. Yesterday was high in the upper 70s and today it was 65 and dropping. Walked around the inside rather than the outside of the ship. Took some pictures, a nap and worked on our 4 days in LA. I uploaded new pictures from the past few days.
Feeling bad for my younger son. He was supposed to be on the sidelines of the Eagles/Cowboys game tomorrow and with them switching the game day, he had to work his regular EMT shift instead of being an EMT on the sidelines.
Your son must be so disappointed! Hopefully, he’ll get another opportunity.

I feel bad for the people who are on the World Cruise. Due to Covid they kept cancelling ports, mostly in the South Pacific. It was originally a full ship of 930-about half getting on in Ft. Lauderdale and the other half when we got off in LA. By the time we left Ft. Lauderdale they were down to 700-many cancelling due to ports dropping. As we were sailing, more ports were dropped. Today they had a meeting and webinar for everyone still on the World Cruise-now 550. They totally changed the trip. They are no longer going across the Pacific. Now they are going south along the west side of Central America, South America, around the Cape Horn and to Uruguay then across the Atlantic in the middle of winter to Europe in the middle of winter, then Mediterranean. By the end of March, they should be back on schedule. Some are bailing in LA and others are okay with the change. Everyone is packed for summer and they are going to in Europe in February. They are also not allowing the passengers to go anywhere alone-they want to keep a covid free bubble. There are a lot of people who planned to see family or friends for the 2 day(now 3 day) stay in LA and Viking said they cannot do that. Some of the people were on the World Cruise when Covid hit. Some flew back from Australia or New Zealand. Others opted to stay on and floated around for 3 weeks before Bali let them in to fly home. Here are how the their cruise has changed.

How disappointing for those passengers. I think I would just bail and go home.
