CVS TO OFFER COVID-19 vaccines when available to pharmacies

I just got an email from CVS Pharmacy stating that they have entered in an agreement with the Centers for Disease control. CVS has been selected as one of the official COVID-19 Vaccination Program Providers. The US government will make a supply of the vaccine available to CVS when authorized and available to administer in pharmacies nationwide. they will follow established vaccine prioritization guidelines.

This makes me feel there is actually a light at the end of the tunnel!

Definitely!! I was feeling discouraged with the surge in positive cases in our area. This at least makes me feel there could actually be an end to this pandemic.

The Walgreens near me also announced that they will be distributing the vaccine. It makes me feel like there's a light at the end of this very dark tunnel.

I asked at our pharmacy(Sav-on at Acme) and they didn't think they would be giving it because they don't have the room for the freezers they would need. I am hoping that Rite Aid will get it since I can walk there if I want.

I can’t imagine that the injection of something -170 f is not painful.
I will be the one sobbing like a 3 yr old
even before it is my turn.

I wonder if the feds are going to supply all the proper equipment such as freezers. ?

They have to be special freezes that can get that cold or they need dry ice per 60 Minutes segment.

I had the same thought, Andrea. Never had an issue with shots and have never had a reaction, but that is REALLY cold. Won't stop me from getting it, but curious.

So... you got me curious and I googled. Here’s the info from the CDC which states none of the vaccines are using a live virus.

Phew!!! I don’t care if it hurts, I can take it!!
