Eastern Airlines. Nostalgia? No, read on.

Good morning,

At first, I thought I was caught in some kind of nostalgic time warp this morning, but I'm not. Read on friends.

Caribbean Journal's front page article today featured the old, 'new' Eastern Airlines and its expanding Caribbean flight schedule. It did not mention Aruba, but I hope our favourite island will be added to its route map very soon.

Eastern Airlines, for those who remember, was the only American carrier flying into Aruba back in the 1980's. That's how I first went Aruba.

Now, if I can only find my old 8-tracks and learn the Macarena, I should be pretty much up-to-date.

Hi Andrea,

If, or when, they start service to Aruba it will be a very special time for many of us.

If they do, can Bali, the old Indonesian restaurant in the harbour, and Scaramouche, the notorious disco in O'stad be far behind?

Kind of got off topic here Andrea, but I hope you understand.
