Smile Even the neighbours came out to say goodbye

    Good morning everyone,

Funny how we can become attached to some of our possessions isn't it?

And so it was yesterday when we finally said goodbye to my 2001 white Ford Mustang. We had it for 18 years and we loved it but we finally had to say goodbye. When the tow truck came to take "Pony" away yesterday morning, even a few neighbours came out to watch it being hooked up and carted away.

Just so you don't think I am totally nuts, when we bought the Mustang our sensible car was a 1998 Bonneville. Our current sensible car is a Buick.

    Have a great weekend everybody.

It's always a sad day to say goodbye to a vehicle that has treated you well and has been there fore the milestones. :-)

Are you getting a new non-sensible car?

    mvosilla,

As much as I would like to, no. Guys are supposed have only one mid-life crisis and only one mid-life crisis car to go with it! Lol.

Ahh, my first car was a Placer gold, 71 Chevy Malibu with a black vinyl roof. The new owner painted it white and I saw it around town for years.

1968 baby blue cougar with leather interior. It had headlight covers that came up automatically. But my fav thing was the sequential lights on the rear turn signals. It was cheap and used and my first car. And I still miss it!

Boy it's hard to give up a favorite Glenn, I'm sure it was a hard decision. My first "car" was a VW bus, man I miss it... currently restoring a 74 VW Super Beetle I found in a junk yard. I've only had it a couple of years, but feels like family. Lisa, those were the best Cougars ever! And Chuck, an MD Javelin?... man that was a race car! Come on Glenn, there's still time for one more! Anyone else? What car was your first/favorite? I think I know someone else that had a 74 bug
