Today is also St. Joseph’s Day. It’s when the swallows would return to San Juan Capistrano Mission. My cousin from California went there years ago on that day and said it was more pigeons than swallows. I still think it’s a nice story if you are of the Catholic faith.

We have some starlings starting to build a nest again in the upper back corner of our warehouse at work. Does that count?

Happy Spring all! I am going to try and focus on that and not the fact that we were to go to Aruba on Saturday this weekend. :'(

It counts! We have daffodils blooming in a sunny spot in our yard. Glenn, remember, those are those odd-looking yellow things Andrea posted a picture of?

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Lsa,

This is the kind of fun stuff we need at a time like this.

Lsa, I presume these are different from the yellow things that appear on our boulevard when spring finally shows up here. I never see anyone planting anything there but without warning, one morning, usually in May, we wake up to see a boulevard that looks like it's covered with a bright yellow carpet. LOL

    Hi Lisa,

Is a boulevard carpeted with dandelions a reasonable substitute for daffodils? Lol.
