    Living in "God's Waiting Room"

Paul and I live in a deed restricted, age 55+ golf community.
There are 660 homes and it was built 35 years ago.

There are lots here in their 80s and 90s and a lot of folks like Paul and I are in late 50's - 70.
But the majority are mid 70s.
Over the past 10 day we have lost more than a few of the older group.
Every day for the past week, I have been greeted by a text that says......... "so and so passed away last night"
One of these people was a member of my arthritis water exercise class and another was a gentleman that lived directly across the street.

None of the deceased have been friends of ours, but have been acquaintances nonetheless.

It has been a tough 10 days here at Highland Fairways.

I guess that is a sad reality of living in a retirement community. Sorry it has been a tough 10 days.

I find it never easy to hear about someone passing away, even if i only new them slightly.

So sorry Andrea. I know how you feel. You will miss them especially the person in your water class. Happened on our block too and there are only 20 homes in our townhouse development. We lost one neighbor last week and one at the end of 2021. Even if you are not friends you remember waving and chatting etc. it’s never easy especially as we all get older. It becomes scary too. Concentrate on your upcoming trip to Aruba for some positive thoughts!
