HOT and itchy for 7 days after 2nd vaccine.

My son had 2nd vaccine, triggered vertigo that lasted a week.

It does not hurt, but it is warm to the touch and kind of itchy. They say to go get the second round and it won't be as bad. There is a very small group of people it seems that have this reaction to the Moderna shot roughly 8 days after getting it. I always wanted to be special, but this is not exactly what I had in mind.

Phrogg, Walt is right Tylenol is your friend. Not as tasty as a Balashi, but it helps. Reactions are all over the place. I had the "Moderna Rash" for almost a week. Didn't get it after my second and thought I was homefree. Then the chills, low grade fever and nausea arrived and lasted for a good 12 hours. All better than the alternative. If you can, take the day after your second shot off "just in case". I got mine on a Sunday morning wrongly believing I'd have all day and night to deal with any side effects. Monday turned out to be a long and rough day at work when those darn reactions kicked in! You'll be fine!

My older son and his gf just told me they are going to be able to get the J&J vaccine on Saturday. I am so excited that we will all be fully vaccinated by mid May.

I was talking to one of neighbors and she is unable to get the vaccine unless cleared by an allergist because she has so many allergies. Both her pcd and cardiologist refused to clear her. Her husband gets his second shot this week.

All good! The rash and itchiness has stopped and the swelling has gone way down. If only I had some Balashi...

    Hi everybody,

This is my two-part comment on this thread.

    First:
I got my vaccination yesterday afternoon. No after-effects today other than a minor sore at the injection site.

    Second
No wonder people get mad a seniors.

Our province's vaccination authority is reminding everyone to show up no earlier than 15 minutes before their vaccination appointment to avoid congestion at the site. Sure enough, many show up an hour early.

And, they never have their paperwork filled out.

Those are my observations from yesterday.

Two relatives had the J&J shot yesterday afternoon. They were fine when we spoke around 630. This morning they said last night was awful-chills, body aches, fever and one was vomiting. They feel "meh" and "blah" today and have to get on a plane late am.
