I don't remember Fury, but do remember MI. And the Airplane movies.

Fury must have been before my time, but do remember Mission Impossible. He played a cameo role in one of the re-make Tom Cruise MI movies no?

I also forgot until it was mentioned on the radio this a.m. that he was the younger brother of James Arness of Gunsmoke fame.

Yes, he did have a cameo in the MI movies - at least the first one.

I didn't know he was the brother of James Arness! I do remember Gunsmoke - vaguely.

Daniel Boone (and Davy Crockett in rerun) were two of my husband's favorite shows when he was a little boy.

In fact, when I told him last night that Fess Parker had passed away, he said he had just been thinking about the actor this very week and had planned to look him up on the computer over weekend to see if he was still alive.

    oh NOOOOOO!

I remember him well, from the TV series. As I recall, he got a raw deal from the producers, who had him on a salary and a "percentage" of the profits. With imaginative accounting, and the use of subsidary companies, there never were any profits.

Shame to treat a nice guy like that, but that;s big business I guess.
