    Snagged Another Cruise

    Snagged Another Cruise-screen-shot-2023-01-21-6-20-06-pm-jpg

Paul and I each got a
"cruise offer" for a suite. Identical offers.
We leave next Monday from Port Canaveral, on the the Carnival Freedom for a 5 night cruise to Grand Turk and I believe the DR.
We did make a plan to rent a golf cart on Grand Turk for a self guided tour.
We will stay onboard at the DR as it is not a place we are interested in.

Then again for late March we booked a 6 night on Carnival Pride from Port of Tampa, for Grand Cayman, Cozumel and I think Belize.
We will stay onboard unless we can get an early appointment for Stingray City in GC.

While the ships are in port and we stay onboard it is kind of nice.........the masses of folks get off and head to a beach or a tour.
We find a quiet spot on the serenity deck (adult area) and park ourselves for a day of reading, assembling some of the greeting cards that I make, water jogging and sometimes if it is not too hot, I might crochet. I also quietly count the number of ice cream cones that "his nibs" eats

We prefer to cruise from Tampa because the port is only 28 miles from our house. Port Canaveral is 100 miles.

No Aruba on these itineraries.....so the Off Topic category is the place for my cruise story.
I wish Aruba was on our itinerary.

    Aruba sets the bar high.
Not interested in many of the itineraries.
Especially the DR and Mexico and Belize.

Good score.... seems like you're able to find some quiet and quality time on a cruise. I always felt cruises were way too peopley for me!

    they are indeed very peopley.

we hang out on serenity deck during the day, evening we eat at table for 2 in either the steakhouse or main dining room...the casinos though are very busy.we still wear masks and I wipe down every machine.
this particular cruise we have $500 free play. Paul and I will split it and when it is gone, it is gone........last few cruises it lasted 3 or 4 days.

Have you been to Jack's Shack on Grand Turk? It doesn't get as crowded and has a beautiful view of the water and ship.
