    A Suicide in Aruba

Rumor going around about someone jumping from the 7th floor at one of the Divi's. Heard anything?

    Yes
    a local young man

    he had been severely depressed
he had been unable to get follow up mental health care.

he left a very sad and detailed note about depression and his sad state of mind

the aruba police and fire tried to help but he took the leap.

it was at the Divi Phoenix.

to say it was a horror scene is an understatement.

    god rest his soul.

    Suicide At Aruba Phoenix

A friend of mine in Aruba asked me if I heard what happened at the Phoenix a few days ago. I said no what happened I'm subscribed on Face Book to a Phoenix Forum and have not heard of any news. She said one of the employees committed suicide and jumped from a 7th floor balcony and guest who were at the pool saw the event take place. He wrote a message on Face Book to say goodbye to friends and family and then jumped. He had been suffering from depression like a lot of people during Covid.

    So sad.

    RIP

I guess that is why I am seeing a lot of stuff on FB pages about depression. Horrible for everyone.

That is so terribly sad and I wish he could have gotten the help he needed. Or even had someone to remind him that this his life was worth living. Depression is very very real and we never know what someone is carrying...even if they keep a smiling face.

No truer words ever written. Pray for him and his family.
