    Too many decisions.

As you all know I had work in the front line of a nursing home. ( we got no crisis pay even though the other 9 sister facilities did)
Been there for 10.6 years. Faithful and hard dedicated worker and got a $25.00 gift card for 10 yrs.. my son the math teacher goes "mom $2.50 per year before taxes...sad)
One of there facility's is closed by Andrea's (many "customers" died due to covid)was a very nice place.
Found out Wednesday that the owner is going to sell her facilities.
A small company from New York is buying all 10 of the homes...
Very sad, but totally understandable as she is losing so much money.
Only 700 beds occupied and need at least 1400 to break even; along with many many lawsuits
    due to neglect (covid related).
Been exploring with many offers, but a good pay cut. I am thinking do I just stick it out to see if the new
company gives us the same pay and benefits; which I do see happening.
I do see many management being escorted out. (good thing .. very sad the buildings have been ran to
the ground.. once a beautiful place. Now a place I wouldn't put anyone in)
Now do I stay and go with the flow and do flex with different agencies; or move on.
Was offer home health Mon-Fri 9-5 (don't know if that's my cup of tea) less pay but good benefits.
Did started a prn position with a few dollars less; but not too bad.
Everyone that interviewed me first thing they say is Wow 10+ yrs at one place.
    Decisions... Decisions. hate starting over.

Cathy, benefits and pay are tough to work out. Do what you think is best and if something better comes along... then jump. I learned long ago to be loyal to the paycheck, not necessarily who's providing it because they are probably not loyal to you. That said, I've been very fortunate the last 22 years that I've been employed by a terrific firm.

I agree with Walt.....Jump if a better opportunity presents itself.
Til then stick it out. The devil you DON'T know may be better.
Hope the new owners are better.

With new owners, you will essentially be working at a new job with different management. I would see how it goes before deciding to leave.

You have options which is nice. See what happens. Change is difficult but it could be good or it could be bad. If it's good, then great and if not you have options.

BTW-your $25.00 gift card is more than any of us received after 30 years of teaching-the union had dinners and those of work with did something, but the school district did nothing.

32 years at waltham Boys and Girls Club, I got a "thank you for your service trophy" and a crappy cake from the staff and BOD.
the swim team.............tons of gift cards, tons of tears and heartfelt goodbyes.

    you are not alone Cathy.
sadly you are treated like a worker bee.
I hope the new management team is better

If a lot of people leave, it maybe an opportunity to move up if it is possible.

    Thanks for the feedback..
I am very blunt and ask the administrator who is Ms. Woods (owner of 10 facilities) is buying us.
She told me a company from NY and has places in Florida as well.
Do not think non management will be affected. Do think they will bring in their own management and
hopefully get rid of those are not doing their jobs.
That being said, I will wait to see what the new company brings in.
Only work every weekend, and all the extra shifts came to an end (hired two lazy nurses.. but they won't last)
Will go back to agency (hospice ) during the week.
