    Update on Tom’s surgery

Tom’s surgery lasted 3 hours. The doctor called and said there is no more cancer and there were no margins. He was also able to close the tongue so the graph from his arm that they talked about was not necessary. Expect him to stay in the hospital for one or two days. Knowing Tom he’ll push to come home tomorrow. I am so incredibly grateful and feel ever so fortunate that it was caught early.

Well done to the surgeon and clinicians at MGH!
Thank God for giving them the science and skill to help Tom.
    So happy for you both.

So glad to hear! We are so lucky to have the hospitals that we do here in Boston. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and maybe a trip to Aruba soon??

I would love to have a trip to Aruba scheduled but Vegas is Tom’s first choice. I had booked it for August before we knew about the diagnosis. It turned out to be a good distraction and I’m glad we have something to look forward to.

Great news! I breathed a sigh of relief I can't imagine how you feel right now.
