Thought I would try doing a trip report from Vegas since things seem kind of quiet on the forum. While Aruba is my number one spot for vacation, it’s Vegas for Tom. Funny thing is we’re here “celebrating” my birthday!!
We departed Logan on an 8:00 am flight this morning. Went with the Mint seats as we arrive so much more rested, especially helpful with the 3 hour time difference. My host at the Venetian arranged for a limo to pick us up at the airport. It was a beautiful gold Cadillac limo, very nice. The driver was great. She checked to see if our room was ready and since it wasn’t she offered to take us for a drive, nice tour of the strip and downtown. Perfect!!
Since our rooms are comped we go to the invited desk for checkin but when we got there the person on the desk said oh no I’ll take you to the VIP check in! The lounge was beautiful! When you get tired at the casino they have drinks and snacks in the lounge. Who knew?!
Now we we are ready for some gambling. We were back and forth between Palazzo and Venetian. At one point a gentlemen who worked at the hotel came over and introduced himself. He had an early birthday gift for me. It was a voucher for a free gift at the spas retail shop! It really was a surprise, The slot gods, however, were not kind to us so after about 5 hours we decided to call it a day and go back to the room. There waiting for us was an elaborate presentation of sweets. The tray had a pink chocolate high heel filled with macaroons and a red velvet cupcake!
We couldn’t get over the efforts of the staff to make this stay special. I hope this report doesn’t sound obnoxious or bragging! I just really couldn’t get over the extra effort the staff out forward!!
