well, he has been really struggling missing his Belle-girl.
when he retired in 2008, she became his dog (prior to that she was mine)
so when she died in October he was just devastated.
so it has been a challenge.

a few weeks ago he finally said "ok I will agree to at least talk about someday getting another dog"
I talked with some different shelters and different rescues and due to our circumstances it was really a no brainer.
we needed a small dog. a young dog because we have 2 old cats and an older dog could be a crapshoot with 2 older cats.
a small pup would be of little concern to our cats.

so a neighbor connected me with a person who had 2 puppies from a litter.
these 2 pups were 10 weeks old, both female and both not really show quality due to the coloring.

So, I told Paul we were going to Brandon Bagels. Once we got to Brandon, I said that there was a lady in Sarasota that had some puppies that I wanted us to see. He rolled his eyes and said ok, but I am not getting out of the car.
Then when he DID get out of the car, he said I am not going to hold it. Then as he was holding it and the tears were running down his face, he said no it is not in the budget......I said oh BS.....we have our Aruba money that is back in the checking act.

And with that, BeeBee became Lily Bee James and it is becoming apparent that she is "his" dog.

I had strep throat 10 days ago and now I have an ear infection...so these last 2 days I have been a bit under the weather.
She is making me feel much better.

we have no cruises planned for the time being.
we would continue to board her for Aruba trips with our vet.
for week long trips to Kevin's house we will bring her as when she is full grown she will be able to fit in a underseat carrier.
for cruises.....I think we would leave her with friends here.
both of these friends spoke up yesterday and said we would be GLAD to babysit.

or we could drop off to you and Jon

Will this limit your spur of the moment cruising for a while - if we every can get back to leaving our houses.

Little miss Stinkeye/poop on the oriental rugs is doing well.
I threaten her with daily beatings, but well ya know she is only 3 lbs

She is BOLD and is feisty.
She holds her own against the cats and she is very good at keeping the cats on their toes.

She is doing a great job in her crate at night 11:20 pm to 7 am no accidents and an afternoon nap for 2 hrs.
If we have to run out for an hour or so, we have created a spot in our master bathroom.......it actually is 2 rooms....a room with the double vanity and walk in closet and a connecting room with a pocket door of the shower and toilet. We put her fleece bed, her toys, her piddle/poop pads, a bowl of water and some dry kibble....throw up the baby gate and let her have that space. She has chosen to sleep in the shower, and ignore her $55 fleece bed, she has used the piddle pad, she does not whine and bark. Today we had about ENOUGH and needed a respite. She went into the "suite" and she was GOOD! Paul and I were working in the garage getting the rugs ready for cleaning.
Her favorite activity is going for a golf cart ride.
Her least favorite activity is going for a walk. She takes about 50 steps, lies down and chews on her leash.
Her very favorite activity is getting in the litter box.
She is wonderful when she is not being a terror (CUJO)

    will try photos again
