My cousin lives in Portland Oregon, mails me tuna (fresh/packed by the cases) very spoiled. lol
When I did buy it in the store ... Bumble Bee gold cans.
Good morning Robin and everyone else,
We bought a new washer and dryer about two weeks ago and as is the case in the USA, many models here are out of stock. I am thinking factories and the related supply chains everywhere (Canada, the US and offshore), plus the transportation links to get the machines to people who actually want to wash their clothes have all been so disrupted that major appliances are constantly out of stock.
Anyway, we got what we wanted. And yes, on the advice of an appliance dealer we knew a while back, we got the middle of the road model. Never buy the top of the line (too many computer-type things that can go wrong) and never buy the bottom of the line.
Yes, cleaning supplies are under pressure here too!

The fridge is a KitchenAid french door and made in the US(part of Whirlpool and Maytag). They had shut down for while earlier this year and also are having trouble getting what they need because those plants have shut down worldwide. Production is down due to social distancing. Add in people spending their vacations funds on improving their homes, natural disasters, etc. and it creates a shortage.
We have plenty of TP but about 3 weeks ago we needed to replace the toilet in one of our bathrooms. Went to Kooyman. About 12 on display....no worries about decisions...only 3 styles in stock! So far we are satisfied with our choice but geeze!...only 3?!
way way off topic, but Ann's post made me laugh.
about 32 yrs ago we were at Mass Hardware in Waltham MA.
We were looking for a new medicine cabinet....the kind that are inserted into the wall.
We had our son with us who was 2.
We were in the bathroom display area.
While we were looking at the medicine cabinets on display, the little "darling" had is pants down and was doing his "thing" on the display toilet.
Yes we were negligent.
We still are.
We got the heck out of there fast after the clean up.
