My whine for the day: very upset with the construction next to us. We were assured it would follow the same set back rules as Oceania followed(the plans were viewed by the powers that be at the time). Last night, we noticed that they added some vertical girders that do not follow the setback rules. This morning, they added taller ones. Basically, they can only go so many meters high at different set backs, which at the front is about three stories, this looks like five stories. See my pictures. It is being looked into at this point.

I have been here more than 12 years...I know better...lol They will come on Tuesday because I said no to Monday....she was a bit stunned when I said "I have a life and Monday does not work for me". Just when we mistakenly thought all was good (finally fixed the issue of every time there was a downpour we lost internet....they knew the problem...just count' fix it)....they shut off internet and tv in the entire area for a day to "upgrade the system " ...hasn't worked right since then....think of every cuss word you know and you know what I think. A friend who lives in Noord said just wait until they upgrade the system...for some it works for others it doesn't.

Sounds like the US government, every time they upgrade something nothing works right. I told a guy once "how about you test it before you make us use it?" He looked at me like I had two heads.

Well, it's going to be 5 stories upfront. They changed the law regarding setbacks. Umm. It's Aruba. $$$ talks. We still have a have a nice view, we will just lose the sunsets. The people in Phase 2 sections never had the sunsets and have a more narrow view.

That's how your picture looked to me. My first thought was, why is this so high? The build up won't affect our view, as we never had one. We'd certainly be whining if we were losing what we had. At least you still have something left.

Our bigger concern is the added population to the beach, and fear that Eagle will at some point be as crowded as Palm. This will make at least three good size properties close to or bordering Eagle Beach, that will have to accommodate all of the additions.

OUR COUPLE'S RETREAT. THE PEARL CONDO HOTEL AT EAGLE BEACH. CONDO ACCOMMODATES TWO ADULTS. YOU MUST REQUEST UNIT #8. https://photos.app.goo.gl/lRquP1F4VtxyZhR42 RENTING DIRECTLY http://www.pearlarubacondos.com/. SEND PM BEFORE BOOKING FOR REFERRAL .

I seriously wonder how full all these resorts will be. It's not like people can drive here and most planes are pretty full and there is only so many people they can process through the airport at a time. At least with the condos here, it is never full-there are many owners who don't rent and even if they do, they are not always full.
