    1. They are saying if your flight is between 15:00 and 17:00 you can check in between 12:00 and 16:00, which means people will not read 3 hours ahead and arrive at 16:00 for 17:00 flight. Or they will figure, why are they saying 16:00 for 17:00 when they are saying 3 hours early. It will be confusing to some.
    2. Many people can't figure, for example, 16:00 means 4:00 pm. Especially if they have been enjoying adult beverages.
    3. You may have people who arrive early because they have to check out of the hotel and figure that they would go the airport, do some shopping, hit the lounge, or bars but they will be forced to stay outside.

Geeze Louise! I may need to get another degree to figure this out...lol! Yellow states check in before 14:00....if your flight is as 15:00 checking in at 13:30 likely is not going to cut it! Big overlap in time with the first two colors. I understand what they are 'trying' to do....but I can picture the crowd outside waiting for their color window to open!!!

It could be a train-wreck to start IMO. More of a reason to fly either the 1st flight out or the last- the middle of the day could be very difficult is my guess.
Just Booked trip 36- Trip report starting in June.

Looking at live departures for tomorrow, there are 30 flights leaving for the US. One departure around noon, then five from 13:21 to 13:50, five from 14:10 to 14:50, five from 15:10 to 15:50, seven from 16:00 to 16:50, and seven from 17:17 to 17:59. So I'm not sure what the point of the staggered entry is. If everyone just got there 3 hours prior things would be fine. But since people don't do that now, the color coded entry is going to cause huge backups and angry passengers. The check in times make no sense whatsoever. Good news is it won't bother us since the dates are between the times we visit.

So, they’re trying to get people to not arrive earlier then the three hour check in recommendation. I did realize that people were getting there, say three plus hours ahead. I thought it was the other way around. The note in red, states to maintain the three hour checkin time, so as far as I can tell, they don’t want people arriving before that.

Should we take bets on how long it will last/how long it will be reinforced?
