    Delta - First Class

If flying first class on Delta (domestic or Caribbean), they used to take your meal order (2 different selections for breakfast, lunch, or dinner) after you boarded. This morning I got an email from Delta for my flight to Aruba this week asking for my food selection - they gave me my 2 options and I just clicked on the one I wanted in the email. I like this new feature!

and for those of us that fly in steerage, we are asked if we want peanuts or pretzels (providing no peanut allergies on board).

we have tons of SWA points and they have no 1st or business class.
I wish that they did, as we'd upgrade every now and again.
    steerage is our only option.

But look at the bright side. SWA was voted one of the best airlines and United is consistently in last place

We fly American first class. They send an email 30 days prior to your flight with the options to pre-select your meal. Our options for Charlotte to Aruba are Asian chopped salad, cheeseburger, fruit and cheese plate or Zoe's Kitchen charcuterie plate. Pam picked the fruit and cheese plate and I picked the charcuterie plate. We haven't picked our return flight meal yet, but the options are a chopped salad and a spinach ricotta ravioli in addition to the fruit and cheese plate and the charcuterie plate.

I didn't know AA did that already! At least Delta is following suit - it's a nice feature! We are flying Delta One/business class to Paris in the fall so I am curious if they will do the same for that flight, too, since you usually get a full menu upon boarding with choices for appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert cart, etc.

We liked the fruit and cheese plate. Had it as an option on our way home last.

It's a great option to let you choose ahead of time for any airline that does it. It helps them be better prepared. Nothing like getting stuck with the vegetarian chili because they already ran put of other options before it gets to you.
