I think Delta could sell those extra seats every day, not just on the holidays. We have flown on that ATL-AUA flight the last 5 years in May, June and September and it is always full. No empty seats.

Maybe they'll keep it going after the holidays! That would be nice

They are actually using the larger planes for Jan. - March at this point. These are the older planes they used previously for Europe flights - older first class configuration (no pods) but with lie-flat seats.

Amy, From Aruba back to Atlanta in March...Can you tell me what type of plane? Boeing 767, 737, etc. I think it will be flight 655. I'm hoping this will have the lie flat seats too.

It's the Boeing 767-400 - lie flat seats (but not the new pod/lie-flat like they have to Europe now which are the Airbus A330-300.)

We just booked a trip to Playa del Carmen and Delta is actually using the A330-300 into Cancun now. Will be strange to have a pod/lie-flat seat for only a 4 hour flight. But I'll definitely take it!

Enjoy your flight (watch a movie or take a nap!)

Thanks Amy. I just happened to get first class only coming home. Yahoo! Sorry, it's actually flight 654 I guess. Right now it looks like a 737? Do you think that will change before March? I noticed the plane flying down is the 747-400. Hoping they use this same plane to also fly back to Atlanta. Leaving Aruba after two weeks of hardly any sleep and being able to lay back and sleep for 4 hours on the plane will be well needed!!! lol
