Yes, I had a brain fart moment yesterday and looked for the airports in Mass when the one closest to us is BDL and the one we travel thru. Thanks for waking my brain up this morning Andrea, and thanks Walt for the link and everyone else who helped. Now just have to wait and be patient and see how long it takes

Well I tried, we both are approved but are out of luck for interviews before November. First open appt. is Dec. 14 or Jan 29th. I did call BDL and got a "rude" agent who told me walk-ins are not encouraged, blah, blah, blah.....requested I go to NY? I told him we are 1/2 hr away, he says we can try a walk in but no guarantees, they have 15 min. slot appts. Mon-Friday. I have Fridays off so we plan on taking a drive to BDL next Friday and see what happens, if it does we will be happy it not we will wait to spring for interviews. will let you know if it works out.

Does Atlanta have any appointments available during your layover? We got our GE at Miami during a layover a couple of years ago.

Does anybody know when Aruba will be opening their interview center? This doesn't say when, just that they will be opening it. Maybe this is an option for you.

I just applied today. How long does it take? I saw that they had interview slots at NY Airport this month and next. I'm flying to Aruba Dec 14 and I'm hoping I can get everything done and approved before I leave. Those lines were very long coming home and with my back pain issues I don't want to be standing around for 1 1/2 hours or else its wheel chair service. LOL

You have to keep checking online for the conditional approval - they don’t alert you. I want to say mine took a little under a week. Newark had open availability for appointments so I was about to set it up
the day after I was conditionally approved.

After the interview, it takes about a week for them to mail you your global
entry number (and card). You don’t need the card just make sure your number is on all flight reservations.
